I think...

I'm actually growing a love of poetry, thanks to my English teacher. We read some e.e Cummings today (Not what she said), and My Papa's Waltz. I think I was the only one who figured it was from a more innocent time period where shit like that was common, because I was the only one who hadn't automatically shouted "Child Abuse!"

I mean really, at the age I assume the kid was at, I'd think his height was up to his father's belt, and that him clinging to the man like death was because he had some respect/love for his father. Maybe that's just me, though.

Alex has apocalyptic amounts of homework, so I got the laptop today. I'm exploring the internet and just discovered two things:

Tvtropes and fanfiction....

YOU ARE ALL GOLDFISH.
And tvtropes is going to rot my head. Oh well. Alex can kill me later.

  1. ... I was just reading TV Tropes. XD; I am not a goldfish! I am... Um, I'm... I dunno. I wouldn't qualify for Viewers are Geniuses or anything. ^///^' If you like TV Tropes, you might like a website my friend showed me called My Life Is Average.
Is fanfiction any good? I've looked at fanart on deviantart, but I usually stay away from fanfics. I've heard a lot about Mary Sues, ruined characterization, and... questionable content. >////////<'

  2. @Gwen, still undecided on whether fanfiction is good or bad. I'd say it's on a neutral line, where some is good, some is bad, and some is....
I was blushing like a little kid. >///<

My Life Is Average? I think I'll check it out.

  3. Hmm... Maybe I'll see if I can find some of the better fanfics online.

I swear, you won't regret it~! (As long as you keep your eye on the time, that is...)

  4. I ALWAYS keep my eyes on two things: Time and Alex. :U

  5. Why? Does Alex get into trouble a lot? I've never met you guys, but it doesn't seem like she would from what I've seen...

  6. I'm a bit paranoid, as I THINK I've mentioned in previous posts. As you probably have guessed by now, Alex is like, my best friend, my 'Heterosexual life partner', we're like two strands of the same braid. I think we've only had one major fight as friends. It was over something so silly I can't even remember it now. XD

  7. As they say, "forgive and forget," right?
I've got a friend who can be a bit over-protective, too. He's a good guy, and I've known him for a while. He's kind of like an older brother to me, really. Anyway, back on-topic (or as on-topic as I can get ^-^'), I think it's great that you two are so close (even though I'm pretty sure a braid needs three strands). It kind of reminds me of the two main characters in the manga Bakuman, especially the whole "artist and writer" aspect.

  8. Bakuman? I've heard of Bakugan a few years back, what's Bakuman? Sounds interesting. O.o

I used to braid with two strands, that's why I compared us to braids. Then I found out you can braid with 3 strands. :U

  9. It's a manga series by same two people who made Death Note. It's pretty much about how these two guys want to become manga-ka and get their manga made into an anime. Here: http://www.mangareader.net/219/bakuman.html
You can braid hair with only two strands? Really? O.O Well, ya learn something new every day. I wish I could braid my hair... *messes up my mid-neck-length hair* I can't believe I was stupid enough to get gum stuck in my hair. I'm not in Ouran High School Host Club, darn it. >.<'

  10. Oh, I've read Death Note! Interesting. o:
I may take a look at it...

I've done soooooo much to my hair. At one point, it was brown with pink stripes, another time it was long, and I think I've had a bob once, with the bangs in my face being a darker blue than my current favorite color.

My parents are lucky I just haven't dyed my hair every color of the rainbow.

  11. My hair's just a regular mousy brown. I've always wondered what it would be like to have a streak of, say, green or red near my face, but I don't want to mess up my hair. Plus, I have no idea how my aunt would react. Heh. ^-^' She's a great person, but I never know what's going to set her off. When she's mad, look out!
Just wondering, what's your natural hair color?

  12. There's actually stuff that keeps your hair from getting ruined from all that dye. God knows I forgot what it's called, I don't even look at the label anymore and just use it. >:

My natural hair color? Weeeeeell, that's for me, Alex, anyone who knew me before middle school, my parents, and the doctors who helped me crawl into this world to know. :p
